Covid19 - Temporary amendment to our booking conditions

As at 27 March 2020

Changes to your booking due to the coronavirus

Our customers' wellbeing is our top priority. In light of the UK government's latest advice and due to the ever changing circumstances surrounding the coronavirus and the uncertainties that come with it, we understand that our customers may need to make changes to their travel plans because of it.

If you have booked Directly with Largo Cottages

As of today 27th March following the advisory issued by the First Minister at her news conference on Sunday 22nd March all Largo Cottages properties are now closed. The closure will initially be for all bookings due to arrive up until and including Thursday 30th April we will continue to monitor government advice and will update this page as and when the advice and situation changes. If you are due to arrive with us before 30th April we will contact you as soon as we can to explain your options. We will not open for new bookings until 29th May 2020.

For bookings with an arrival date between 30th April and 21st May 2020*, customers may request a change to the start date of their booking by up to 12 months, subject to availability. We do not charge any administration fees for these changes but depending on the cost of the accommodation of the new booking, you may have to make a further payment or may receive a partial refund with respect to the cost of accommodation.

If you are unable to make a decision as to when you would like to rebook we will issue a voucher to the value of any monies paid towards your stay with us to date (less any booking protect premiums you may have paid) that must be used for a stay with us within a year of your original start date.

*Customers will need to contact us at least 48 hours before their scheduled arrival date.

Balance payments:-

We are currently temporarily suspending our balance payments terms and conditions. Those with balances due up until and including 30th April (this is the balance due date not holiday arrival date) will not be required to pay their balance at this moment in time as we see how the current situation unfolds. We have amended our communications to reflect this.

We are continually monitoring the situation and will update this page should our policy change in light of revised government advice.

If You have booked with a 3rd Party e.g., Airbnb, Tripadvisor etc.

Please contact the person or organisation you made the booking with who will be able to help you.

I’m due to arrive at a property in the next few weeks, can I get a refund?
You can move any monies you have paid to date (less any booking protect charges) for your holiday to a holiday at a later date free of charge or receive a voucher to the value of any monies paid to date (less any booking protect charges) if your arrival date is between the 30th April and 21st May 2020. If you are arriving on or before 30th April we will contact you and explain your options. For the terms of this temporary amendment please see updated as at 25th March 2020 above. For bookings starting after that date, our standard terms and conditions currently apply.

If you are travelling after 21st May 2020 we would ask you to refrain from contacting us until closer to the date of arrival.

Where can I receive more information about coronavirus?

We would advise you to check the GOV.UK website for the most up to date information.
