Largo Cottages properties will reopen from 30th April 2021 in line with government guidance confirmed April 13th 2021. There will continue to be some restrictions particularly regarding the number of households that can visit, please see below. For up to date information please check the Scottish Govt Website.
We have implemented a number of changes to our procedures and
terms and conditions to ensure we continue to provide accommodation to the
highest and safest possible standard and give you confidence to book with us once we are allowed to reopen. After implementing these new procedures we have now been accredited as Good to Go by Visit Scotland.
Some changes we are making at Largo Cottages to
reduce our coronavirus risk.
The Scottish Government has issued guidance to self catering
operators regarding changes they need to make to their operations in order to
re open safely. We have signed up to follow this guidance and will be adhering
to it strictly, we have even enhanced the requirements in a few places. This
guidance has changed a few things at Largo Cottages so even if you have visited us
before we advise you read this to familiarise yourself and your party with
of the key changes we have instigated is a major overhaul of our
changeover procedures, this has involved introducing a deep clean and
disinfecting regime between each guest. We will be spending more
time wiping down all hard surfaces and touch points with virucidal
disinfectants and fogging or misting soft furnishings etc with the same disinfectant between each guest.

are now asking that you arrive after 17.00 and depart by 09.30.
order to reduce contact we will sadly no longer be able to personally come and meet you when you arrive. Check in will now be self check in
and keys will be obtained from a key safe at your cottage. Please make sure
you have the code to the key safe which will be sent to you with your pre
order to meet the enhanced disinfecting protocols for beds we will now only
make up enough beds and provide enough towels for the number of people in
your party as noted on our booking system. Our default position will be to
make up the bed in the master bedroom with

items from the cottages including all books, leaflets, DVD's, games,
decorative items including decorative soft furnishings and some less used
have also removed our local information and house instruction manuals.
These can now be found in your guest account online. We strongly advise
that you register your guest account before you arrive in order to be able
to access items such as instructions for the central heating, kitchen
appliances and hoists as well as the WIFI code and a reminder of your key
code. To login into or register your account please visit the guest login area and follow the
instructions. We will send instructions as to how to do this in your pre arrival e mail approximately 10 days prior to your arrival. You will need the email address you gave us when you booked
and your booking reference number.
Temporary amendment to our booking conditions*

The travel industry has received a lot of bad publicity regarding
refunds for breaks that were booked during the lockdown period but could not be

value of the accommodation already paid to all affected clients. We will continue to do so as the situation continues.
As we move forward we understand you may still have concerns about
the security of any money paid to us. Therefore, we are temporarily amending our
booking terms and conditions in
order to increase our flexibility. These temporary changes are as follows:-
non refundable deposit will reduce from 15% or £100 (whichever is the
greater) to 7.5% or £50 (whichever is the greater)
dates by which full balances will need to be paid will reduce from 55 days
prior to arrival to 21 days prior to arrival
cancellation scale will change from
weeks prior to arrival: 50% of the total holiday cost will be retained
weeks prior to arrival: 75% of the total holiday cost will be retained
than 2 weeks prior to arrival: 100% of the total holiday cost will be retained
days prior to arrival full refund of holiday cost (less any booking
days prior to arrival 50% refund of the total holiday cost (less any
booking protect premiums)

If you or any of your party contract Covid19 and are unable to
travel to your cottage because you have been instructed to self isolate at home
following a positive Covid19 test, should your travel insurer or booking
protect refuse a claim made for this event Largo Cottage owners will provide a refund of
all monies paid for the accommodation (This excludes any premium paid for
booking protect). You must have purchased a suitable travel insurance product
on which you have made a claim which has been rejected. Documentary evidence
will be required.

In the unfortunate event of a future
government enforced nationwide lockdown or regional lockdown that affects your
home postcode or any of the Largo Cottages properties and which covers the period of your booked stay our owners
will refund all monies paid for your accommodation (excluding any booking
protect premiums). In addition we will not pursue balance payments if there is any uncertainty as to whether or not you can visit us.
If anyone in your party is classed as
vulnerable and has received a government shielding letter asking you to stay
home, if the period of shielding stipulated by the appropriate Government
covering your postcode includes the period you were due to stay with Largo Cottages our owners
will refund all monies paid for your accommodation (excluding any booking
protect premium). Documentary evidence will be required.

Following our re opening on 30th April 2021 there will continue to be some restrictions on the number of households which can visit an individual property.
- Bookings from multiple households for a single property.
From 26th April-16th May 2021 only one household will be allowed to stay overnight in self catering accommodation, if you are unsure whether your party make up meets these rules please get in touch.
From 17th May until "early June" 2021 the timetable allows a small easing of the single household rule and in addition to single households up to 4 people from 2 separate households may stay overnight in self catering accommodation (children under the age of 12 do not count towards the numbers). So for example two couples would be allowed to stay overnight in self catering accommodation.
Please check the Scottish Govt Website for the most up to date information on these restrictions before making a booking for multiple households.
On 2nd November 2020 the Scottish Govt introduced a a new set of Covid related restrictions based on 5 levels (0-4), those living in a level 3 and 4 areas are not allowed to travel into level 1 and 2 areas or other level 3 areas other than for essential purposes and vice versa. Currently all our properties are located in the Fife Level 4 area and are therefore currently closed. This is due to change on 26th April 2021 see below.
- Travel restrictions within and to and from Scotland
Fife is due to move to level 3 on 26th April 2021, and all travel restrictions within mainland Scotland and between Scotland and England / Wales are due to be removed on the same date.
